Clippings Collection
Robin Boyd held an extensive collection of material on the Sydney Opera House dating to the period after Jørn Utzon’s resignation in February 1966. Over forty assorted articles, essays and other material was inserted inside the front cover of April 1966 volume of Walkabout magazine. This issue of Walkabout features a cover article on the Sydney Opera House titled "‘Can You Cost a Dream?’ (pdf) by freelance architecture writer Eva M. Buhrich with images by photographer Max Dupain.
Also included in the clippings collection were three typed manuscripts by Boyd: ‘The March on Parliament House’ (pdf) ‘The Tragedy in Sydney’ and ‘An Account from Utzon’ (pdf) - all appear to be unpublished.
Articles from the period before Utzon’s resignation were hand-transcribed by Boyd’s daughter Mandie into two exercise books. It may be that Robin was planning a book on Utzon and Sydney Opera House saga.
